Our Story
Spaza Global began with a simple but powerful act of connection.
During a time when demand for protective wear surged globally, we sourced and supplied fabric face masks made in South Africa using traditional Shweshwe textiles — bringing culturally rooted design into both retail and corporate spaces in the UK. What started as a response to immediate need quickly revealed something deeper: a clear gap between exceptional Southern African production and access to global markets.
From those early supply relationships, Spaza Global evolved beyond a product-led business into a sourcing-led model — built on trust, proximity to suppliers, and a commitment to doing trade differently. We have worked directly with designers, manufacturers, and artisans across Southern Africa, developing long-standing relationships grounded in quality, transparency, and mutual growth.
Today, Spaza Global is launching as a global marketplace — a platform designed to connect Southern African suppliers with international buyers through a more structured, reliable, and equitable trade ecosystem.
Our focus is not only on what is made, but how it moves: improving access, reducing friction, and creating clearer pathways between production and purchase.
From corporate gifting and hospitality supply to fashion, accessories, and homeware, every piece sourced through Spaza Global reflects a balance of cultural integrity and commercial viability. We operate at the intersection of culture and trade — where design is not just aesthetic, but economic.
Our mission is to strengthen trade corridors between Southern Africa and the world — ensuring that the value created at source is recognised, preserved, and fairly distributed.
At Spaza Global, we are not simply curating products.
We are building infrastructure for cultural trade — connecting people, products, and markets with intention.
